We just wrapped up our 8th year with over $290,000.00 in cash and $94,350.00 in prizes awarded at the district ropings only and over $233,000.00 in cash and prizes at the 2008 TRA Finals. This year we added the Wrangler Extreme Super Series Ropings (WESS), and these 6 ropings paid out over $241,000.00. Plus, the WESS Finals paid out over $116,556.00 in cash and prizes.

   

Since 2001, the TRA has paid out over $5,019,000.00 in cash and over $550,000.00 in prizes at the district level and WESS ropings. Also, the TRA has paid out over $2.3 million in cash and prizes at the TRA Finals and WESS Finals. We would like to thank all of our members and sponsors for making this possible through their continued support.

 

In 2009, every district will offer the following ropings: #30 Drawpot (#15 Cap), #40, #45 (35 Years and Older), #50, and #65. Every District will offer at least 4 ropings, and each member must attend 2 out of 4 "Home" District ropings or 3 ropings at any District to qualify for the 2009 TRA Finals. Double J saddles and Hy O Silver buckles will be awarded to High-Point roper and Reserve High-Point roper respectively at every District's 1st and 4th roping in two of the following ropings combined: #30 Drawpot, #40, #45, #50, or #65. Plus, at every 2nd and 3rd District roping, Hy O Silver buckles will be given away to the Average Winners of the #30 Drawpot, #40, #45, and #50. That is over 28 saddles and 224 buckles awarded at the District level only!!

 

Wrangler Extreme Super Series ropings will offer another great way for ropers to win huge pay-outs and prizes!! The WESS ropings will offer the following format: #100, #85, #65, #50, #45 (35 Years and Older), #40, and the #30 Drawpot. The fees for these ropings will be $100.00/team. The Wrangler Extreme Super Series will once again have the 2009 Finals at Wildfire Ranch Arena in June.

 

Also, Year-End saddles and buckles will be given to High-Point and Reserve High-Point ropers respectively in all of the following ropings: #30 Drawpot, #40, #45, and #50. That is 4 Year-End saddles and 4 Year-End buckles awarded at the 2009 TRA Finals!! At the 2009 TRA Finals expect Double J saddles, Hy O Silver buckles, TRA jackets, and Double J breast collars in the following ropings: #30 Drawpot, #40, #50, and #55 ropings. Plus, money will be added to the ropings!!

 

By joining the TRA in 2009, you have the opportunity to rope at over 40 District ropings, the 2009 TRA Finals, 6 Wrangler Extreme Super Series ropings, and the 2009 WESS Finals.  That gives everyone a variety of TRA ropings to attend with $50.00/team and $100.00/team formats and two great Finals!!  We are looking forward to an exciting 2009, so don't miss a thing.
